Resource Update: SDC Platinum Available in Refinitiv Workspace

Access Information

You can now access SDC Platinum in Refinitiv Workspace in your own browser – see Refinitiv Workspace access help.

• In your browser, launch Refinitiv Workspace and in the top search box enter SDC to launch the SDC Platinum App.
• In the Excel Add-In, go to the Refinitiv tab > SDC Platinum.

SDC Platinum is available for current Stanford faculty, staff, and students. View all SDC Platinum access information.

Difference Between the Legacy Software and the New Version

• The new access to SDC Platinum through Refinitiv Workspace is more convenient, so you no longer have to use a specific terminal in the library with the legacy SDC software.
• There are some changes to how the data is described. For example, VentureXpert is now called Private Equity, and you can now search by exits, fundraising, or investments.
• The data availability is the same. Keep in mind that in both the legacy and new version of SDC, the data can be updated after the fact when Refinitiv gets new information.
