  5. You will receive an email to reset your login credentials.
  6. Reset your password.

Reset / Forgot Password

  1. If you're not on the "Stanford" WiFi network, use the VPN (instructions).
  2. Go to the PitchBook login page and enter your Stanford email and press Submit.
  3. At the bottom of the page will be a Forgot password? link which you can use to reset it (see image).

"Content Unavailable" or "Upgrade" Error Message

If you see either "Upgrade" or "Content Unavailable. This profile contains third-party licensed data which is not available in your subscription due to market-access restrictions" that means we do not have access to that content. Certain content, like a lot of fund return data and data provided by other third parties are not available to academic accounts. Please try an alternative resource like the ones listed on the VC/PE Research Guide.

Restrictions

Users can download 10 lines of data per day and 25 lines per month. Screen capturing is prohibited. There is nothing we can do to enable more downloads; nor is there a workaround. This restriction is in place for all of PitchBook's academic clients.

Tip: Use the pivot table options in PitchBook to analyze the data instead of downloading it.
