New Resource: GrayHair New Mover Data

Stanford researchers have access to GrayHair New Mover data, which is a dataset that contains individual consumers' residential moves within the U.S. starting in 2009. The data indicates when a consumer moved or their address became undeliverable, along with the old and new address when available. GrayHair collects the data from USPS, banks, credit card, insurance, and communications companies. As an example of how this data can be used, see Ferreira, Kenney, and Smith (2024).

GrayHair data is available to current Stanford faculty, staff, and PhD students for Stanford-related academic research purposes.
